Making Voting Easy & Modern

The concept of voting goes back thousands of years. Citizens gather in a central place to cast their ballots and choose their future together. It’s an amazing exercise in democratic decision-making - but there are more modern ways to do it.

We’re bringing elections into the 21st century

For some people, the act of voting in person - going to the polls with your neighbors, getting your “I Voted” sticker” - is a powerful tradition. However, for many people it makes the process inconvenient or impossible.

  • Some people need to work through Election Day and can’t take time off to go to the polls.
  • Many people like knowing that their voice will be heard, regardless of what may happen on Election Day.
  • Some, like members of the military, overseas workers, and people who are traveling, need a way to vote from afar.
  • At busy polling places, or at places that run out of ballots or voting machines, lines can become impossibly long.
  • For some people with disabilities, getting to the polls to vote in person isn’t an option.
  • During public health emergencies, it can be dangerous for people to gather in public. For all of these situations, voting by mail provides a safe, secure, easy option.
